I know im just getting it ready. I removed the wheels, rear seat, clear side markers. I am waiting on the power mirrors that Adam sent me. Those are the ones I originally wanted.

Wow. That really sucks! The truck took a really hard hit to the firewall to bend the dash like that. Hopefully the frame is straight. On the plus side, It's just metal and it can be repaired.

Really sorry to see that about your truck man, I hope you get it fixed.
yeap that how things are in my country if dont have insurence on your car they will take the plates even if it parked in your drive way or if it missed inspection 3 times i belive it is.
they dont impound the car just yet if its on the road and not on a private parking place you will get a notice to remove the car with in 48 hours or it will be impound you will get the bill for a private towing company and if it aint payed your car WILL be crused

Really sucks with your blazer

The firewall seems to be fine, but wont be able to tell till the fenders are off.

Re: My blazer used as brakes...

Talk to your body shop to find out what you can take off and what they want left on before you start to tear it down. They may want the door left on for pulling or something?
When I had my T/A pulled one frame guy told me the k member and engine needed to be out of the car. I couldn't find the logic in that. Neither could my dad who had at the time 20 years experience as a professional body man and shop owner.

Re: My blazer used as brakes...

should have immediately called the police and filed a report and wrote down a statement of what happened. Eventually if he doesnt pay you, you take him to court, illegal or not and he probably gets sent back home. There are ways around getting people who are not insured, trust me i know.

I too and from the south bay, california
