Re: 68 Quad Cab build

ok shop is almost put back together but i had a question for everyone ... i know it has been asked in other posts but all i am finding is older posts... so i was thinking of getting aftermarket short box bed sides.... has anyone used these and what is the quality now.... like i said all i could find was older posts when they just started making them if they are not good still then i will just shorten my long box (fleet side) thanks for the info even if i go aftermarket i will be doing some fab work to make them follow the look i am after

They are not as good as a set of NOS ones, or niced used original ones BUT for the price, they are hard to beat.

Re: 68 Quad Cab build

Just about any vendor that sells body parts will have short bed sides. There are vendors on the board here and there is always LMC, etc.

Re: 68 Quad Cab build

I love the learn-forward look of the rear doors... If you were to do this truck in a classic looking way (as if it was made back then) the learn forward looks would be right at home. It's cool to see another quad cab from scratch.
