bringing this one back from the dead.

How water tight are these guys? would you feel ok putting luggage in the bed on a road trip if the sky opened up?

I have an "antique" wooden tool box that will house my air management in the bed and like to road trip. so would like my stuff in the bed to stay as dry as possible.

thanks.

I have one on my Long Fleet for 2 years now. Doesn't keep water out but keeps the sun off the nice oak bed. I open the back and dry it after it rains. Hey! what do you expect for $250. Quality is fine and looks and operates good.

I got mine installed today they sent me the wrong bows for the center they were from a fleetside and the side rails were about slightly long and needed to be modified personally I'm not really happy with mine but it looks OK there customer service was decent and they had the replacement parts right out. I paid around $400 with the upgraded latch and shipping I'm going to cut the rails down a lil more and have a upholstery shop shorten the vinyl for a tighter fit.
