Thanks! Shouldn't be out too long. My wife was actually on the Reagan last year. I'll definitely miss the forums!

Well I have the pleasure of living in the "Garlic Capitol of the World" and I'll tell you I have never missed a festival in 15 years. It seems as if every year just get better. I attended Saturday and Sunday the food is just great I love the pesto and tri-tip plate. It is one of the biggest food festival in the world. Other than that I did clean out the garage to make room for a project that will be coming home soon.

I love it! Those wheels give it a menacing look. And, in that pic, the tails almost look smoked. But, I don't know that I would change wheels just yet. Because I still love the look your truck has.

Wasn't aware you were trying to get "on" the map! Keep in mind that Fred will need color squirted on him in another year or so..... He might not get you on the map, but it might hopefully get you on my plot of land!

I didn't get anything accomplished, although I did buy a new power steering gear on Sunday, and will probably do that Wednesday evening.

And I did get a 5.3L/4L60E bought! I should be heading my way by the end of the week!

Oh definitely! I plan on doing a FAQ for the Vortec swap, so I'm going to try to be as detailed as possible. Have you sent that title, I haven't seen it yet?

I totally spaced it, just walked it out to the mailbox though, you should have it in a few days.

Bob, I will be more than happy to spray Fred for you. My ultimate goal is to be able to get back to building full time. Like I used to do before the shop shut down.

Re: What did you get done? 07/26/09

Did a bunch of work to my '73 C10 last week
-swapped in a tilt column
-cut the old bumper off (was welded to the frame)
-finished LS1/4L60E swap
-dropped it 5/6

finally drove it around the block for the first time in 8 months so i'm stoked.

thanks. Its a GMPP LS327/327 crate engine topped by an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and Holley 750 double pumper carb. the air intake is a universal kit from Spectre that's plumbed into the factory knockouts in the core support.

it uses the cam sensor, crankshaft reluctor wheel sensor, and a map sensor plumbed in the intake manifor to fire the individual coil packs. works good too.
the ignition box is programmable and has outputs for ignition retard for a n20 system too.
