Dang! I can imagine trying to shut down from 100 on stock brakes. That could ruin a good pair of shorts. Those Baer brakes are going to make you motion sick they will shut you down so quick.
Tried to log on your blog and comment, but it said my user name was already take, What the heck? Everyone knows there is only one N2TRUX.

i think we are going to be tire-limited during the testing. i was able to get the stock brakes to lock up pretty easily. the Nitto Nt450s are a pretty hard compound. Im sure the stopping distance will be shorter but without softer tires we probably wont take full advantage of the brakes.

I'd love to see the brake test results as well. I'm going to be making a similar upgrade in the near furture and need something to base my "justification of funds" on.

Your coil packs cost more than I have into my whole truck.
That is going to be one sweet toy when you get it done. It is well on it's way with all you have done so far. Great job. |

Re: road trip with a carbureted LS1..pics
I could be wrong but arent the veins/slots on the rear rotor suppose to be facing towards the back ?
*** Edit had to re-phrase that LOL From what I have seen the slots should go in the same direction as rotation... Just curious, Im sure the guys at Baer KNOW what they are doing LOL !!! More updates ? Im watching the blog now...\] **Another edit.. I found an answer http://www.zeckhausen.com/how_to_pro...all_rotors.htm

Re: road trip with a carbureted LS1..pics
well we stopped just outside of Las Cruces, NM. rest of the day went well. at dinner at the heart attack grille in Chandler, Arizona. The place is staffed by hot chicks in nurses outfits. The burgers are massive. Calin tried to polish off a Quadruple Bypass burger and he's payin the price for it now.
pics tomorrow. there are a few more blogs up here:http://blogs.sporttruck.com/index.html

Re: road trip with a carbureted LS1..pics
Well we spent the day in Ft. Worth visiting a few friends that wish to remain nameless after they helped me with a new addition to the '73.
I needed to inject a little humor into this trip after the soul-crushing 16 hour drive from Phoenix and when i saw a guy selling these on the side of the road I had to have them: http://blogs.sporttruck.com/6575535/...ory/index.html and how about a little damage report? So far we have repaired and/or replaced the following items: trans computer sepertine belt valve stem fuel pump window regulator the next four days will be spent at a body shop so it'll be tough to break stuff when not driving.
