Re: DP's '66
The glass must be difficult. My glass guy broke the fist windshield installiing in my '66 Burb but got it right on the second one. I furnised the rubber but I always let the glass people furnish the glass so if they break it they have to replace it.

Re: DP's '66
Good news and bad news- the windshield that was ok two days ago is de-laminating as well........ #5 He can't understand it as he has used Pilkington Glass on numerous jobs and never had this much problem. Good news is that he is going to order from PPG and not going to charge me anything for the glass or it's installation. He said that this has been such an ordeal that Pilkington will pay for the glass and it's installation.

Great looking truck Mr. Powers!
I really like the looks of your plates. I don't think we have anything that cool here in the wet Northwest. What's the issue with the windshield install? I will be going thru this sometime also. I suppose there's a good thread here somewhere to help us thru the process. Keep up the good work and keep sending pictures. I can't get enough of the great video documentation this site offers. Re: DP's '66
I bought the fiberglass scoop on ebay .
im going to mold it on the metal 1965 hood . just like I did last year on my 93 GMC in this picture. I glue the scoop to the steel hood with short strand tiger hair then put a coat of long strand tiger hair over the seam from the scoop to the hood . $75 dollar rustoleum 2 tone paint I done last jan. one gallon of red and 2 quarts of black , I thinned with acetone so it sprays good . it has a 1975 454 with a quadrejet and a th350. |
