Re: 76 Blazer build
I didn't realize they reclined of course I have a set of truck buckets not a set of blazer buckets. so mine have a fixed base on the passenger and no recline at all

Re: 76 Blazer build
The high back buckets didn't recline until the mid 80's I sill consider the non-reclining ones to be comfy though. I even put them back in after the PO had installed newer seats.

Re: 76 Blazer build
Only the passenger side survived removal, but I sold it over the winter for 50 bucks at a swap meet.

Re: 76 Blazer build
School is very important, I had to put projects on hold for 4.5 years for college. I am glad that I did.

Re: 76 Blazer build
HEy Russ
I copied and traced your picture for the support. and labeled the dimensions (see attached pic) if you could list the corresponding dimensions in a note or on here as a post it should safe us both some troubles the top one is the big plate the bottom was traced from your photo of the original one.... and what gauge is the plate? I was thinkng of using 1/8" thanks a bunch...

Re: 76 Blazer build
First Image:
B: 12.187 C: 3.875 D: 16.25 E: 10.475 F: no F, comes to point H: 3.125 J: 4.75 K: 5.00 Cant do too much at the moment on R, M, and L, but I would suggest just using cardboard and making a template to get the angle right. The top is flat across from the top of C to the right side of H. The top from side to side is 2.25. Each side is the mirror image of the other G: 2.25 I will have to measure the thickness to get it right, but I am thinking it is maybe 1/8, but it might be a little thinner.

Re: 76 Blazer build
a few updates, The truck now has 3 coats of epoxy primer and two coats of high build and is roughly at about the 180 grit sand point. The body work is finished for now and I finally moved it from my in-laws to my house. The next steps are pulling the engine, finishing the front frame rails, and installing the steering box reinforcement kit.
