Re: blazer project

Sorry guys i haven't looked at my own thread in a while. Thanks for the nice comments. jaros44sr it is actually oneida lake its only about 10 minutes from my house.

Small blazer related update. I bought a 5.3 ls motor that i plan to rebuild and put in the blazer over the next year or so. The engine in the truck runs ok but sucks gas up like crazy. I may also put in an overdrive tranny but haven't decided and money is tight as always.

I also bought this cool little blazer accessory! It is a 1974 little gem Bugg camper. It is in great shape on the outside but needs the inside gutted and redone. More pics to follow.

Re: blazer project

How difficult was it to add the body molding? Did it stick on or did you have to drill holes and line them all up? And where did you get the molding kit from?

Re: blazer project

My blazer originally had body molding so the holes were already there. I used a combination of the original type clips and some 3m molding double sided tape to secure it to the truck. The molding is all the same as a shortbox except for the piece in front of the rear tire. I pieced all of it together from any place i could find a deal like ebay and lots of google searching it was all new reproduction suff. total price for all the molding was around $200 - $240 if i remember right.

I looked through some of my stuff some of the molding came from this site www.chevroletrestorationworld.com
