Got to digging around the roof line on this thing... I was chipping at what I thought was seam sealer. My bad, it was bondo!

Re: My 69 Find
No, the truck was stripped clean ready for the crusher. It was just a shell, amazingly the roof was the only rust free piece on it. Got it for little of nothin and a hand shake. I'm still looking for some doors. I found a set close by I probably need to jump on. They need some work, but not as much as mine. Just a little pricey right now with Xmas so close.

Re: My 69 Find
Nice find! Man your scoring some good stuff around here. Wish I was as lucky with the Blazer. I don't know how much I'm available the next two weekends with Xmas and traveling but I'd be happy to give you a hand if you ever need it. Just PM on the board.

Re: My 69 Find
Well, I plan to use it on the 69. The more I get into this hobby the more my taste becomes influenced by all the cool trucks you guys build. I have really come to love the lines of a 67 nose. So, when I saw the CL post you shared with the board i jumped at the opportunity. Now, I just need to move the 71 hood and fenders I bought a few weeks ago. I'm stock pilling parts until spring and running out of room quick!

Re: My 69 Find
Yep...most guys like that 67/68 front clip....I look forward to seeing it on there!!!...Again, glad to help and that you'll be able to use it...and thanks for the At-a-boy!!!
In an earlier post you said you had some trim...is that still available??...if so, I'd be interested in it...also if the 71 front passenger fender is good, I'd be interested in that too?!?!?

Re: My 69 Find
Your build looks good, and im with ya on the 67 front clip, thats whats on my 69 too. I have a few things if you need any of them. Its always nice to have people close enough to swap parts around with. Here are a couple of pics of mine, Im trying to get the 4L80 overdrive figured out, but other than that the 6.0 fuel injection is bad A**. Let me know if you need anything, and maybe if you head this way for a show or rod run in PF we can all ride up together.

-T-, Nice to meet you. Right on man, sweet truck. What parts do you have? Do you ever make it to the Charleston area shows?

I havent been down there for any shows, but i do know the way I have a complete parts truck that is in good shape. I think you mentioned needing some doors, I have a bed, powder coated frame/rearend and some miscellaneous interior parts. A 350 motor and TH350 trans. Just let me know if you need anything.
Looking forward to watching your build progress. Good luck. Clay |

Re: My 69 Find
Hey guys,
Had to take a break to take care of a few things. Getting back on it tomorrow! I need to make it driveable so I can move it to my new diggs. Gonna slap the 67 clip on it soon!

I got some work done today. Removed the radiator and support.
Removed the fuel tank. Removed the glass and top. Reinstalled the donor top.

Re: My 69 Find
Man your getting it done! Was the roof replacement difficult? Those seats looks great. It sounds like your moving houses soon? You staying in Sville? I know I keep saying this but one of these days I'll get together with you. I've had some pretty bad and busy weeks. Hopefully things will calm down. Just found oil in the water of the Blazer so it's down for now. Always something.

Re: My 69 Find
Damn it! I hope your luck changes soon. Yes- staying in the ville. The roof was not hard at all. Just measured 20 times and cut twice! It took maybe 2 hours to cut and tack on. I still have the finish weld to do. Just trying to get it road worthy for the move. Attention to detail will have to wait!

Re: My 69 Find
I hope some luck comes my way. I'm going to have to spend some time with the head gasket problem. This is the second one on a new motor with no miles on it. Somethings not right but it's not obvious. Keep us updated. I understand with getting it road worthy.
