air bag kit!

ok i know what to get for the back wich is the re7's, shock relocate with drop shocks, bolt in notch but whats a mild notch and a regular notch? if i get a 3" lowering blocks instead of 2 what would that do? and when i install my rear bags is it ok to drive it with no air in the bags for a while?

bolt in c notch is basically mild. nothing to extreme to installing one compared to a monster notch (which is the bigger one you have to weld in...BUT, some companies sell bolt in monster notches also). with 3" blocks you will run into scrub issues with your wheels, unless you run big rims. with stock rims, 2" is the safest best. if you have a blowout in the rear with 3" blocks, your suspension could drop low enough to hit the ground and rip everything up. also, i got the airlift dominator 2600's all around and they are some beefy bags! ***************** has them on sale for 60 bucks a piece. you can click on my build thread and check out the pics i have in there. in basically just bags replacing springs, no drop spindles or notch or anything...yet...

Never drive it without some air in the bags. You will also want to get a Super or Deluxe track bar. Whichever one goes from the driver side frame to the passenger side trailing arm.

3" blocks will allow you to run a little more air pressure than 2" blocks at whatever ride height you want.

The standard bolt in notch is about 3". It's about half the height of the frame and about as far as the rear axle can go without hitting the bed.

ok i already know what setup im going to do which is the 2" lowering blocks and u know all the other stuff!
so when i install my rear bags should i have the compressor and tank already?

Or run schrader valves until you have the funds.

This is a schrader valve.

I would maybe suggest researching the suspension forum. 100% of the questions you are asking can be answered just by reading through various posts on here. An air ride system is nothing to just jump into without at least a little bit of studying on the subject.

I think what everyone was refering to on the bump stops is for the front control arms. In order to get as low as you want to go you will have to cut them off.

3 pages in a forum doesn't seem to be quick questions. If you know what to do you wouldn't be asking about what is a good price for a compressor. Or not knowing what was meant by removing bumpstops or know not to ever even think of running bags without any air in them. We are trying to help you and love helping fellow members. But like Dieselarmy13 said, go to the suspension forum and you will better understand because some of this stuff has been discussed. Also, if you live near an installation shop that sells and installs air suspension components talk to them and they may be able to show you some stuff in the shop to help you get a better understanding. Then if all else fails, call Ride Tech or Accuair's tech line. Please don't take what I'm saying as rude or disrespectful. I once was unknowledgeable myself so no harm meant.

Until you can order some real good stuff I have some old stuff that would help you get started. Compressor, air guages with 2 switch's, I do have a 3 gal airtank that got some water it in, but would be a good start. Or I could sell you my 8gal 9 port tank. PM me if you wanna know about any of the stuff.

well something you have to think about is how fast you want it to raise and lower. I went with a dual 3/8-1/2 kit.

well you got to think about it this way. You want 4 RE7's They cost like 80 per bag for the cheapest. So that's 320 for just bags. Then you have to add the cheapest starter kit is 699.99 so your at $1020.

They kit I just sent you adds the bags plus 2 air compressors for 70 more

No I meant for the front.

I have suggestion.
Why don't you do a 5.5/7.5" static drop.
Same stuff except springs in the place of bags (for now).
That way you can spend your cash on all the quality components that you need and ride low for a while.
Then when you get the rest of the cash,... you can just swap out the springs for bags and add a nice air management system.
That's basically what I did on my blazer.

im not laying frame im just gonna do a simple bag setup
