Re: Project: What the hell did I get into???

Well, Bertha (It's what my family calls the Jimmy) got a new set of shoes.. If you've known me for awhile you know I hated these wheels in the 90's. But I figured that they were the look I'm going after..

I need to take some picture of the progress I made.. It's been awhile..

Re: Project: What the heck did I get into???

Some progress. I've never had a truck fight me so hard as this one. No matter what directions I turn there seems to be something that doesn't fit right or needs to be modified or something stupid..

Re: Project: What the heck did I get into???

very nice! the stance is just right...and it has my all time favorite wheels on it, Cragar S/S's

I must have your evil twin step sista for a truck, this thing has been fighting me for 5 to 10 years, and over the week end it bit me again

Wish I could keep my shop as clean as yours, and thanks for the pics

Thanks jaros44sr. In the 70s my mom had boyfriends that all had the coolest cars. This is kinda of a tribute to the era/style. I've really been thinking of putting side pipes on it.. Not lakster style, more like the style you would see in the 70s..

I hope this truck doesn't fight me for that long or it will take a ride.. As for the shop.. I have ocd when it comes to that. I actually think it's kind of messy right now..

Nice to pick a theme, and build it towards that end. I havn't seen any pipes that really work on a truck, but you might have some ideas that hasn't been done...favorite side pipes were the '65-'67 Corvette, if you could make them longer, it might work

OMG, you're right about the shop, I think I see a yellow wrapper in the center of the floor

Keep us posted, looks like a cool build

I think the side pipes would be cool also- I had a set on a 1972 Chevy Van with a 350, it sounded great

I think that would look pretty cool. Like the late 60/early 70s mopar muscle cars..

Re: Project: What the heck did I get into???

*****EN Blazer you nailed it with the paint, wheels and stance. Makes me want to rip the 4x4 axles out of mine and go that route, you have to dig these lowerd. Cool to see a old/new wheel on it!! Getting tired of american racing spokes and billet is dead. If it was easy it wouldnt be no fun!! Keep the focus and you will get it finished. Keep us posted.
