Re: Project 69 Blown Gasser!
I was going to buy a new front grill but decided to see what I could do with my old one. I stripped it with oven cleanner, polished, painted and waxed. I add new light lens and lettering, total with everything was about $50.00. I powder coated the headlight trim and mounting brakets for the grill, all in all i'm pretty pleased with the way it turnned out and saved $$$$$.

Re: Project 69 Blown Gasser!
Picked the headers up from being welded and put a coat of high temp white on. I plan to wrap them with white header wrap, I don't want to bake my brake booster, wiring and cab floor, better to be safe than sorry.

Installed a 16 gal. fuel cell and summit racing NHRA approved flex lines, I'll never use hard lines again!

Re: Project 69 Blown Gasser!
Wow... This truck is bad ass. With the original medium green paint it would be a sleeper! I'm following this one

Re: Project 69 Blown Gasser!
I was just watching an old episode of " Wrecks to Riches" when an already nice looking '57 Chevy was turned into an awesome gasser. It reminded me of this build. Updates!

Re: Project 69 Blown Gasser!
It's been awhile since I have posted anything. I haven't done much just small stuff. I did score a $310.00 Mallory electronic distributor off Ebay out of a show car that was never ran for $140.00! Also made a custom Hot Rod Magazine headliner out of printed copy's of my autographed mags that I have, should go good with the truck I'm building. Too bad I'm soo far away from installing it.

Re: Project 69 Blown Gasser!
It's been a while since I updated. I started some pretty serious rust repair. I cut out and replaced the passenger side A-pillar with a spare I received from a member on here (it came from a same color parts truck). I was real nervous about this one, but it worked out real well!

Re: Project 69 Blown Gasser!
Added blower linkage and fuel lines. Also decided to sand down the ribs on the blower, I really like the looks of it with sanded. What do you think?
