Re: who fires it up every single morning

Drive mine 35 miles every day, rain/sleet/snow and you can sure tell by how bad the rust is getting. Pretty sure my neighbors get tired of their house windows rattling every morning when I fire it up.

I fire mine up every morning to go to school. During the summer it gets fired up at least every other day if I don't have to work.

Re: who fires it up every single morning

I got a 91 Step side half ton, not same body style but I do have an 83 305 and a TH350 trans in it if that still counts. Takes me to school and work everyday I have to go. Still gets fired up at least once a day when I dont have school or work.

Re: who fires it up every single morning

Soo many nice trucks on this site. mine will never look as nice as some of thes trucks but i wouldnt be able to do with this truck what i plan if it did =[

First off sorry the pictures are so horrible. One day ill get some nice ones [= I dont have anything setup in my profile to say what my truck is. But its been a daily driver since i bought it about a year and a half ago or so. I am kicking my self in the ass for not getting pictures of the box before i put the new one on, The difference is amazing lol. The paint on the box is horrible really but. Its better then being completely white. I plan to re-do it next year after the winter.. didnt have much time this year after i found a box it was already getting cold ****y weather. Need to buy new chrome things for the back wheel wells.. ones on the other box were done...rotted..

Its a 86 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4. The plans for it are to put a 3" body lift in, on top of the 4" in the front and about 5" in the back. Had it done at a spring shop just added 1 leaf on all corners to keep the arch Oh and its got a really crappy set of skinny 31s on it lol

really hoping I can squeeze some 38 boggers under it after. and after that Id really like to get a locker for the front and spend a bunch of money on the moter.. stock 350

=D

Re: who fires it up every single morning

Its tough to tell from the pic, but Coys are more rounded and those are pointed in the middle. Might not be foose but looks good anyway.

Re: who fires it up every single morning

Yea that green 76 is real nice, Reminds me of my dads kinda. The gas cap and the shape hehe. hes got a 77 short box GMC sierra sport. New paint and all. had it since it was new in 77. original black paint with some different color stripes on the side... small stripes like... red .. purple.. something else 2.. but its all original colors. Actually heres a picture of it lol

My dads black truck was his dd for a really long time,But its not anymore. The blue truck in the pictures is my bros DD.. For summers.. although he has had it for a long time theres been a few summers he drove his 4x4 all year.

My dads 77 is in the second picture.. 3rd one... The second picture is my Brothers blue truck.. My uncles in the middle.. and my dads at the end.

The black truck has a 350 small block, I cant recall exactly what work he had done to it but, its estimated at about 450 HP. Both my brothers and my uncles are faily stock in engine and all that. My uncle is working on a 454 for his.. Not sure what my brother is planing for his. Anything from a 350 - a 400 id be guessing.

Re: who fires it up every single morning

My 1986 is a daily driver. I think of it as a 1970's Fleetwood Brougham on a 131 inch wheelbase. 115k miles and still wears the original paint and pinstriping.

Or maybe it's just the Appalachian version of the "Transporter".

Re: who fires it up every single morning

Thanks for pointing out the coy 55's I like those and they are tons cheaper then any Foose wheel. I used to have 24in foose wheels on my 03 dodge ram. they are pitA$$ to keep clean, which is why he promotes the mothers powerball. lol

Nice pics of your trucks man, 3 chevy's in a row look good. I even like the multi-colored stripes that go fender then take a detour up over the cab. never seen that before.

Re: who fires it up every single morning

Neighborhood alarm clock at 6:45 a.m. on weekdays. 2 1/2 mile one way to work with only 1 intersection, general errand running, and short highway jogs. Before the hood was put back on, tried to stay out of the rain. Now, as long as it's not icy, she gets me there. My work yard is dusty so she gets mopped off everyday. But at least I have a place to park out of the weather. If it rains, I just slip the waterproof bonnet on the filter and chamois off when I get home.
