Re: Show your Long step side.
When I started this thread I had no idea about the long beds. I have always liked the looks of step side, but never owned one.
My restoration project is a 68 long fleet side should be done by this summer. I'm building it to be a comfortable daily. Now that i find more details and pictures you all have provided....... well you might guess what I might be thinking. Don't stop keep the info coming

Re: Show your Long step side.
Forgot my two old 2wd's...sold one to a couple in Norman, ok and one to a couple in Bellevue, ne. Had planned to swap to 4x4, but one was a pretty nice original with a paint job and I couldn't tear it apart, the other I bought to swap but found my 4x4 listed earlier. It will be for sale soon as I can't tear it apart for my build either...I'll post my build truck I found recently next

Re: Show your Long step side.
Here's the truck I will build as time permits....going to use as is for now. It's a 1971 gmc k2500 fender side, orig 4x4 350, but converted to propane with the orig quadrajet carb. I'll start on her once I get a shop built up here.

Re: Show your Long step side.
Here is an example of what I planned to build, but didn't like the quadcab look once a fellow member genned up a pic for me, so I'm sticking to a built reg cab 4x4 nice daily driver, with a twist I'll show later(think of a 1 ton 4x4 mating with a 2 ton)

Something about a step side, even with young children. I get more looks & waves driving this
than any fleet side I have ever owned.
