I was looking at shortbed frames today...not just because of this truck...but custom trucks in general seem to sell for almost double if they are swb.....since I'm buying all new bed parts I figured I might as well do a short bed. I'm going to keep the LWB frame for another build once this one is done...but this one;'s cab is so nice and I have so many nice parts to put on it that I decided to build it as a shortbed...

LMB trucks look weird when they're lowered, especially slammed.

Re: A Barrett Jackson truck

Does anyone have a paint code for this color?

It's the 2007 Toyota Desert Sand Mica but the local paint shop need the code.

Thanks.

Question Re: A Barrett Jackson truck

You sure thats the right code?

More PPG codes are all numbers, and have 4 digits, right?

Re: A Barrett Jackson truck

this is why you find ads on cl and what not that are just outrageous. people see this truck sell for 68k and for some reason think the truck thats been sitting in the yard for 20yrs is worth 10k.

Yep, the outside is great, + a manual trans!

The interior breaks it for me, but I guess I'd drive it.

That's Toyota's code...I'm assuming a paint shop should be able to cross reference it on their machines.

Re: A Barrett Jackson truck

just an FYI, a guy named Kevin Archer built this truck himself, including fabing the side molding from a stick of brass (or copper, can't remember for sure) shaped on a simple Sears router table.. cool idea, Met him at the Kansas City Goodguys show, really nice guy. By the way, his truck got 2 awards there, won the "Trick Truck Corral" award & "Classic Trucks Finest Five" award. Not bad when there was about 3000 other rides to pic from.

Re: A Barrett Jackson truck

I was there and pictures do this truck no justice. Beautiful truck with outstanding craftsmanship. Subtle details all around.
One of the nicest built vehicles there and in my opinion THE nicest truck there.I thought it should have gone for more money.
To each their own though

Are you serious!!!!??????? No wonder I haven't had much luck selling my truck for $12k! One thing's a good deal, another thing is looking for a handout! My truck is no where near that caliber of truck but pretty damn clean and 100% rust free with a hot engine plus completely restored from the ground up. It seems like most good ole boys into these trucks have a spending cap around $5000 no matter how nice a truck it is.
