Re: 1974 SWB C10 (The Mistress)

Sorry i haven't been on in a while, but I've done a little work on the mistress. I've lowered the front and stole some rallies off a camaro project, I also put a 81-87 style front bumper on it. It is all olive green now but haven't takin any pics of it.

Re: 1974 SWB C10 (The Mistress)

i'm fine w/ the roof being dif, i just don't really want to have the very bottom dif. or the middle dif. that being said those would look great, pearl would really compliment the dark green.

Re: 1974 SWB C10 (The Mistress)

Just a tip if you decide to go with the brandywine candy paint. If you spray it over a black base instead of silver like the car you pictured it looks amazing. It will be darker were sun isn't directly hitting it and looks awesome under streetlights at night. Just something to think about. Great start by the way.

Re: 1974 SWB C10 (The Mistress)

thanks i will take that into consideration, the truck will probably have a black sealer on it anyways but i'll probably do some test panels on some sheet metal we have at the house before i do the truck itself. oh yeah, I have a v8 to go in her now i just have build it, it's just a block.

they r Boss 338's 18x8 front and 18x9.5 rear, but word off warning if you don't have the 1" rotors on the front they wont fit.

I have the bigger brakes, and I'm just gonna use a 1" thick bolt on spacer to make them work

Truck looks great. Any shots of the entire truck with the wheels on? I used that Olive Drab on my old Blazer. I love it, especially with dark wheels...

Re: 1974 SWB C10 (The Mistress)

Put my new gas tank on yesterday, so now it doesn't leak. My spacers should be here tomorrow, so I might have my wheels mounted on it after work.

I love those wheels on a lot of vehicles and of course they look good on your truck. Nice ride.

Re: 1974 SWB C10 (The Mistress)

Man that truck looks sweeet!

By the way, when you replaced your tank, did you use the fuel sender removal tool or just a screw driver? I'm going to remove my fuel tank to flush it and recall the last time I did that to my K5, I had a tough time putting the sending unit back on. I just used a flat head screw driver.
