Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
Looks real good, I am glad your local shop is taking care of you. Make sure once you get it back and re-start modding it you take plenty of pictures, as always

Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
Thanks guys... here's a few pics of the engine after is was completed last week. I mentioned in another post that I'm not to crazy about the Eldenbrok acc's but they'll do for the time being.

Looks good, Anthony. The Edelbrock definitely looks better than stock, and it was free!

Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
$1500 budget was for the engine... because I wasn't especting to have to put a motor in it.
I would of had the butt dropped on it yesterday but I'm having a problem getting the lower bolt out of the shackle... it appears to be siezed up and I can't get it knocked out yet.

Just a little anti-seize paste on the bolt would have prevented this,... but GM never did that. The bolt always rusts solid to the inner leaf spring bushing sleeve. I usually cut on both sides of the leaf spring with a sawzall, remove the leaf spring, and press out just the remaining bolt,... or replace the bushing altogether. Good luck.

Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
No comments about how it runs now? Hopefully you are happy with it.
Get the rear done yet?

Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
It runs great... but its not as nice as my 87' TBI. I think there maybe something up with the carb, due to hard starting after a hot soak. I'm happy with it overall... I just wish I could of stuck the money else where in it... make since... like something that is visually noticeable!
The rear isn't done yet... my boys' have been keep'n me pretty busy since they are out of school now. I will be tearing into it this next week for sure... I'm anxious to see it down.

Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
Are there any good car/truck shows in wichita? I went to wsu but drove a '72 monaco in college so I didn't go to many shows. Lol. Maybe we can organize a show.

Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
There's one they do downtown in Old Town that ROCKS... The Zoo on Fathers Day and another one out at Lake Afton. Moreless there are shows pretty much every weeknd in town or in a surrounding town... but those are the bigger ones.

Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
Nice Blazer!!!! I kind of miss my 81 K5 2wd I sold last September. I still have my 81 Short Step and I may be joining the crew cab ranks soon. I'm 6'4" and I need a tow pig...

Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
Did you cnotch the frame or just do a rear flip kit?
I will be doing my suburban sometime in the near future and like always you have nailed the stance perfect. Last edited by BGRAFX; 07-04-2010 at 07:43 AM. |

Re: FINALLY a 2WD Blazer owner!!
I was thinking about selling the wheels on my blazer and putting some stock wheels on.. That tire size looks good on your blazer on those stock rims.. What is the tire size if you dont mind me asking? Thanks!
