Re: Found a place to stash my spare motor
Heater box will get a make over, its just surface rust. I am planning on going with the Vintage Air system in the very near future so not a lot of time and detail will go into it. Once I make sure everything fits I'll blow apart the interior and jamb out the car... Wife changed her mind again on paint color so Hotrod black it is until she makes up her mind. 67 interior painted metal surfaces are color keyed to the upholstery. My original intent was to paint the dash, interior metal and column body color, but I think the hotrod black will compliment the black interior.

Re: Found a place to stash my spare motor
Made some progress on the stealth 3 point seat belts. The wife doesn't want anything blocking the open window area, so hanging the belts from the roof was out.
Also modded a Bravada console to sit nicely between the sport buckets. This will house the I-phone dock, USB hub, 12V power outlets etc.

Re: Found a place to stash my spare motor
Well, its coming together slow but steady...
I was getting nervous about the 45 year old wiring so the car was rewired front to back with an AAW Classic Update kit. Mad some changes to the AAW harness incorporating 4lo - 4hi relayed headlights intermittent wipers, Electric pump, HEI, anti-theft and custom console. I gotta say the AAW harness is a really nice piece and is very eaily upgraded. Finally got the dash and interior painted. Dash installed along with the newly rebuilt column. Carpet is layed down and has finally started to settle down into place. Aftermarket Chevelle carpet is just as bad as our truck carpets. Front seats/belts are installed as well as the console and the sound system is providing much needed tuneage to get the creative juices flowing. Still need to put in the gauge panel and glove box but those huge holes facilitate hooking up and testing all the wiring for now. Gonna finish recovering the rear seat soon and get it and the door panels installed.

Re: Found a place to stash my spare motor
Kinda funny, the interior is all new, upgraded, and mildly custom, killer sound system, big disks all around, not to mention the upgraded 18" rolling stock and drivetrain, then you look at the body, 4 different colors and its fair share of "patina", dents and replacement metal... Talk about putting the cart before the horse...LOL I consider it a rolling project, so I figure I'll be yanking almost everything back apart for paint... eventually.

Yup, I love that car, wish he'd post up more videos and a build post of it. One thing I do not like on the 67s is the grille, I want to do something stock-ish, but still custom like your buddy did...

Small block Chevelle mid length headers. The seats weren't as difficult as I thought they would be, TMI foams and covers are top notch.
