yeah, i'm glad i left it like it is...i think the more original look worked out best for our wedding...hoping to one day look back when it's truly a vintage pic

thanks, & i'm actually leaning that way now...my dad started a '66 chop top build back in the early 90's...it's been stored away since...gonna dig it out one of these days & finish it...then i'll have the best of both, original & custom

Allow me to put it another way for a different perspective: As a finish carpenter/cabinetmaker with a keen interest in architecture, I see an awful lot of houses that have been altered over time to suit the changing trends in home design and decor. I see everything from nice subtle improvements to the sadly ridiculous. In most cases, the original architectural integrity of the house is ruined, but at the time, nobody cared. Now they look stupid. Shamefully dumb ideas that somebody thought was great at one time. OOF!
Every so often, I see an older house that is intact, untouched and complete, and WOW, I am refreshed. Cars and trucks aren't much different. Originality never gets old. It may not have the flash of whatever is hot at the time, but it will never look dumb and dated. Just my humble take.

well spoken...thanks for the input...the truck gets looks/compliments everytime i take it out, so i know originality still catches the eye...aside from a few small cosmetic changes to make it a bit more original looking & a few safety upgrades, I think i'll keep this one looking mostly how it did when it rolled off the car lot
