Only way I can post pics from my iPhone is to upload pics to photobucket first.

scored some 6.2 diesel emblems today at local junk yard got both fender emblems tailgate emblem an hood ornament for 5 bucks plus got found another complete 6.2 motor with radiator an 91 radiator support an grill for 225

Is the bed bolted on? the right side looks to have a huge gap (between the bed and cab) compared to the left side or is y eyes playing tricks? either way sweet truck.

here you can see where we steped the 3x4 tube in

A few pages back on this thread everyone was talking about the welding.
I believe you're running your current too low at 100 amps which was causing your difficulty starting the arc. A good rule of thumb for stick welding is 1 amp per thousandths of rod diameter. An 1/8 inch rod is 125 thousandths so run 125 amps. Turn the power up and you'll never have any issue with starting an arc and with 6011 rod you'll not have any worry about penetration. Also, on important welds always weld uphill and not downhill. It's much harder to do but you won't have any slag inclusions in your bead. Weld uphill, slag runs downhill away from the puddle. This is particularly important with 7018 rod as it has such heavy slag.
