Re: All '64 roll call!!!!
My contribution to recycling. Has a GMC grille in it but it's a Chevy. 283, pg. Sorry about the nosebleed stance, though that will be remedied before spring.

Re: All '64 roll call!!!!
Here's mine. It's running a weak-a@# '79 4-bolt 350 in dire need of better heads. Transmission is now a 700R4 instead of the original 4 speed. The lowering is via CPP springs and spindles, 4 1/2" in the front, 4" in the back. 4 wheel discs, 3.73 w/ Auburn LSD, and (finally, thanks to Capt Fab) brand new power steering. I'd originally stuck the 350 in it just to get it on the road since the 283/4 speed was so tired, but two transfers, a wife and two kids later and it's still in there. At least it runs good.

Re: All '64 roll call!!!!
Here's my '64:
That picture was taken about 9 months ago, when it was in it's final mock-up stage. Since this picture, the truck has been Z'd, but it won't be much lower in the front. The chassis mod was done primarily for ground clearance. The engine and trans are now installed, the exhaust is installed, and I'm in the process of painting the inner fenders and core support and everything is going back in for the final time very soon. The engine in a 1990 350 factory roller short block with Vortec heads. I reworked the bowl areas, left the ports alone, and cut down the valve guides for added lift. Installed good springs and roller rockers. The cam is a GM Performance roller (part# 846: .509/.528 lift, 222/230 duration @ .050, 112 lobe center. Advanced 4 degrees). The intake is an Air Gap, the carb is a Holley 750 vacuum secondary. The ignition is an HEI with MSD guts inside. The horsepower should be around 380. Some magazines have built similar combinations and have claimed 425, but I'm going to set my estimate on the conservative side. The trans is a 700r4, with a 2200 stall converter, and the lock-up feature is activated. The rear end is a 12-bolt from a '79 suburban, narrowed 3 inches, with Strange axles. The front suspension is from a '79 Suburban. BellTech drop spindles, 1 coil cut from the stock 1/2 ton front spring, and the chassis was Z'd up 2" and forward 1". The lower control arm shafts were re-spotfaced 3/4" forward to gain caster. The rear suspension has a Super Track Bar kit, the upper shock mounts were relocated, and the forward trailing arm brackets were flipped. The rear coils are 5" drop. I plan to lower the rear about another 2", so I plan to raise the bed floor slightly for clearance. The wheels are late '60s ET Supers. The fronts are 15x6, and the rears are 15x8.5 with a 3" backspace. The lips were polished, and the spokes were painted a light charcoal. Factory ET oval caps. Since this picture was taken, the rust in the fenders has been repaired and the holes in the bedsides for the gas doors have been filled. Once all of the small repairs have been done, the areas will be blended in and "aged" to match the rest of the paint. The entire truck will be sprayed in an industrial Imron (satin) to seal the paint. This truck earned it's patina, and I have no intention of repainting this truck.

Ah-Ha there is a bar in the middle of your grille that no one seems to know where to get. I knew it went there.
