The discs are called "roloc discs". You can find them at most auto parts stores. I picked my up at Napa. There is a lot of information on metal finishing in the link below and some info on roloc discs if you are interested.

I fitted up the passenger floor today. I actually started welding it in as well but I didn't take any pictures after I welded.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

I've had a lot going on in life lately but I got back at it yesterday. With the help of my Dad and brothers we were able to take the bed off the frame so I can strip and paint the rest of it.

Not really. There was some minor rust in the back windshield channel but nothing compared to other peoples trucks I've seen on here.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

I coated my headers today after having them sandblasted. I used POR20 High temp ceramic coating. I've heard good things about this coating and comes highly recommended from my local paint shop. The header on the right is straight from sandblasting still in bare metal and the header on the left is coated with POR20 brilliant silver.

I think they have come a pretty long way from when I first bought the truck in the pic below

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

I've done a lot of work on the truck over the past week. I finished painting the frame with por15. I think it turned out pretty good and I am amazed how durable the por15 coating is. Doesn't chip easy at all. I also put new rubber bushings in the trailing arms and track bar. The old bushings were in pretty rough shape so I just burnt them out and had the new bushings pressed in. Tonight I spent some time mounting the rear gas tank for my EFI setup. The tank fits like a glove so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I am still undecided with how I want to plumb the fuel lines so I will be working on that next.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

We were able to get the transmission back in this past weekend and replaced the u-joints. The driveline is now all back together which is a good feeling.

Re: 71' C10 Cheyenne Super Build

Seam sealed the bottom of the cab today and undercoated it with raptor liner. The raptor liner was really easy to spray and turned out really good.
