Same here for the most part...I have 5 or 6 of them all from diff oil companies. I actually still use one, for old oil after vehicle oil changes.

i got one in storage i believe its a quakerstate that was my grandfathers when he had his old general store back in the day

Oh, I know what kind of can you are talking about. I remember those. When I was a kid my Dad used to cut the tops off them and use them for trash cans, kitty litter, etc.

The one I have is generic and galvanized. It looks like it was meant to be reused for a very long time. That was why I thought it was a gas can.

Ball Brothers (Now Ball Corp) made those old metal oil cans long before the canning jar industry. They made them in the Buffalo NY plant before it burned to the ground.
