Re: totaled c10 to rebuild

I don't suppose, You were able to buy your old one
from the insurance company. You could pull out a lot of parts.

What all do you need for the bed? I have a set of fenders that
look good, But have some bondo in them, And a set of painted
wood dividers I'm replacing. Your welcome to them.

And the Moultrie swap meet will be here 1st weekend in Feb.

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild

Not trying to discrourage , but you may want to look at taking the insurance money and buying one already road worthy, or real close to it. And then use the two other trucks for any needed donor parts. That white truck will take a lot of wrench turning before it ever sees the road.

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild

Glad you are alright. I second the attorney thing. After a hit like that I wouldn't sign off on a thing the insurance company gave you until you had an attorney look at it. Also don't accept any B.S. offer they try to give you on the value of your truck. I've known of insurance companies in the past trying to pay beater value on a truck like yours that was obviously in good shape.

Do some research while you're laid up and be sure you don't get screwed over.

Good Luck!

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild

Before you accept the little amount of money the insurance company is offering you do some research into the ACV (actual cash value) of your truck. Alot of time insurance companies will not offer up the true value of what your vehicle was worth when it was totaled. Especially when it's a nice classic, they see it as old junk and typically use that assesment in determining value. WATCH YOUR CORNHOLE OR YOU MAY GET BONED!

Re: totaled c10 to rebuild

Here's what NADA says about your truck:
http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Ca...hortbed/Values
And they use actual numbers reported to DMV's nation wide on title transfers.
