Welcome back, that is just an awesome story! Can't believe it. You should have your original user account restored if it still exists. That was definitely a cool truck.

Re: Hi! Jim Aust from Sport Truck and the Circus Wagon is BACK!

I can't wait to see it too!!!! LOL!!! Been waiting for another truck for a LONGGGGGG time! I've had over 10 projects ('55-'59 Chevy trucks) since that one- none that I actually got to drive (except a cool '67 Bug w/original paint- built the same week I was born).

Re: Hi! Jim Aust from Sport Truck and the Circus Wagon is BACK!

Hey Jim, here is a truck that I owned for a while and was my own circus wagon lol. I purchased it at the Portland swap meet and drove it back to Canada (20 hour drive). I just love trucks like this because I used to paint vehicles myself and hate being a head case when somebody is standing too close to the paint. I think this truck is very close to one you had. I believe what draws people to these types of vehicles is their imagination and they see what they invision in it, everywhere I went in it people would ask when I was going to paint it and I would just say never I like it the way it is.

[QUOTE=CircusWagonJim;4399910] but it sat PERFECT and was totally refreshing during that era.

Re: Hi! Jim Aust from Sport Truck and the Circus Wagon is BACK!

Way cool truck MacDonald!!!! Yes, the popularity of my truck was that people could totally identify with it and could dream what they would or wouldn't do to it. Once you paint a truck that "dreaming" is over. I'm "dreaming" now of one patina truck and one freshly painted.

As far as tire sizes other people listed them in the "Circus Wagon Pics" thread. I can't remember 12 years ago let alone 12 months any lore- LOL!!!

Re: Hi! Jim Aust from Sport Truck and the Circus Wagon is BACK!

Had a GREAT "presale" day at the Pomona Swapmeet. Picked a pair of REAL '69-'72 Truck bucket seats with original Parchment covers from Jimmy & Travis, a decent correct '69-'72 console from old friend "Big D" Darin (just need to swap out the GMC emblem for a Chevy) and a really nice Chevrolet tailgate band for 20-bucks to fix the really nice '68 GMC tailgate that just won't look right on my '69 CST Fleetside.
I'm still so stoked I found the main things I was looking for!

Congrats on the finds! When I was down there this last summer I went and checked out one of the Pomona Swap meets and was amazed at all the great parts, just made me wish I was down there so I could take advantage of those swapmeets! My friend did however manage to get a 67 firebird heater box/system from that swap meet and drag that home as a "Checked bag". Haha

Glad to see you healthy and on the up and up Jim. I met you at the LA Roadster show shortly after you started your So Cal franchise. You hooked up my daughters with some So Cal stickers and told em to go tag up their school with em. LOL.

Re: Hi! Jim Aust from Sport Truck and the Circus Wagon is BACK!

Hi Jim!

Just bought a 1972 Black Big Block Super Cheyenne that had belonged to Jerry and Linda Rogers in the '90's that I have been told you photographed for Sport Truck Magazine. Would love to be able to get my hands on that edition. Any ideas? Just to let you know what a small world it is, your dad tried to buy a '69 Cortez Silver Camaro from me a couple of years back lol!

Re: Hi! Jim Aust from Sport Truck and the Circus Wagon is BACK!

I remember the truck! It may have been featured in Chevy Truck magazine- and then it had hubcaps not ralleys. It was definitely in my story about rare options. My dad remembers dealing with your wife on the Camaro. I remember it was an AWESOME car!

Actually I am the wife lol! Yes the truck does have some very rare options. We bought it this weekend, got all the trophies from the shows that Jerry Rogers had as well as the original wheels and hubcaps. Would love to have a copy of the magazine that it was in - guess I will google until I find it. Found one in Sport Truck Magazine from February, 2009, you wrote and it had picture of Jerry's Black big block Cheyenne, but he didn't own it at that time so I'm kinda lost/confused on finding the article. Looks like the same truck though. I will keep looking - Tell your dad hi for me.
