I see its pretty common for guys to use the third gen camaro tachs has anyone tried one from a second gen?

Harbor freight has a 2 1/8 tac that you could put somewhere for $20. Damn nice looking seats...

Found 7bulb leds on Ebay for $1.48pair. I ordered 3pair just to check them out... not bad...ordered 8 pair this time

Couldnt sleep... so I played with my new gauges tonight.. This set came out alot better than the old ones. Waiting on the rest of my blue leds to arrive and find an air/fuel gauge to fit the extra slot and I'm done..

$20 white face gauges, $8 needle paint and $10 worth of leds

i have a 5 inch equus mounted on the side of the dash wiht an external shift light.. looks good and isn't in the way, and easy to see!

I am considering using the camaro tach... and getting the white gauge set up so the fonts and all match exactly!

At first i was gona get a small tac put it in the oil press spot
and move the oil to the brake light spot
but i found a tac left over from my other car and prob gona put it in the storage spot(top right)
till i find a factory tac cluster to put in

I was thinking of moving my fuel gauge for a tach but I dont want to change the look of the dash too much. I like the simple white facedgauge OEM look.I.m also stuck on the old skool look with the dash mounted tach

Kinda. I bought four 6" blue led strips and one 48" blue led strip from www.vleds.com and installedthem on the back side of the front cover for the gauges. I'd tried blue 194 bulbs and even the blue led style 194 bulbs but had very poor lighting for my likeing. I'll post pics of them when I get home tonight.

I have my Sun Super Tach II mounted on the column. But I really like the third gen Camaro Tach/Fuel Gauge

. Only problem I have with where mines mounted now is I cant see the shift indicator, but I just use "seat of the pants" to tell what gear Im in.

Ok as promised 2 posts up, my dash lighting solution......

I connected them to a couple of these 194 bulb adaptors and simply plugged them into the sockets

I'm not a fan of strapping a tach on my column or dash. The clean OEM look is where its at.
