from underneath, (sticking a tape up from the bottom) it looks like 18.5" - 19" max.

Thanks, thats would put me flush with the bottom of my frame rails if measured from the top of the exhaust ports.

Did I read you were interested in selling them?

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

I will be....when I can afford to buy a set of the DT large tube 67-72 LSx headers (they fit better with my long range plans) I'll be selling these Dynatech's.... unless I buy something else to put them on.

big shoe, if you have a raised crossmember or [dropmember] they will hang 1.5" below the frame. The only way I can see around that is to open the tunnel up to decrease the angle. My output shaft angle is at 3 deg. down & the trans is pretty tight. The headers are first rate anyhow.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

here's how they look on a stock truck w/engine at roughly normal (for an LSx) height.

I plan on a complete coil over IFS at some point...meaning I'll probably need the clearance the DT's provide.

Your welcome,my clips off so if you need any measurements or pics let me know.I was sceptical about purchasing them at first because of ground clearance issues until i found that they are higher up than my pan.Just something to consider

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Found the 715-19410 and the 715-29410 both thinking about the first ones due to only having a stock 5.3 and the smaller tubes might give me more room.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

Ok, so the DT Big Tubes don't fit. Passenger side hits on the firewall bad. I'm placing to links below, could you confirm 68GMC these are what your running?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/DTC-715-29410/

http://www.dynatechheaders.com/m_camaro_70_81.html

Might have to click on LSX on the second link.

Thanks

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

those on the Dynatech page look like the ones but it appears they changed the part number as they were 115-909400 (30C) when I bought. Also they're not stepped, just straight 1 7/8" primaries x 3" collectors. The Summit pics show stepped and #5 cylinder passing over behind #7....unlike Dynatech's pic.

I found out you can not go by pics on the web to determine what they are selling you.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

can't BigShoe....notice our posts above were changed with some words deleted? I guess maybe so, since now it shows you as Premium. I did that for a few years until I felt the site was large enough to support itself.....now I refuse to.

sorry.

Re: Dynatech MuscleMaxx Headers

They got here today. I ordered 715-19410 from sumit and they were drop shipped from dynatech in 2 days. Summits website says $55 to ship them and I asked my salesman about that and it was wrong it was only $9.50.
