Re: First Time On The Board
Got our blazer home about 10:30pm Sunday night. I had to drive it home from Yakima with the top off. It was quite cold! Now the fun begins with the new shiny stuff!

Re: First Time On The Board
Great Progress and never apologize about pics! We love them, the more the better. Looks like she's going to be a nice Blazer. I bet that ride home from Yakima was chilly!

Re: First Time On The Board
I'm working on priming and painting all the bumper brackets and some other parts now. Hope to start putting it all back together within a few days. Won't get much done this weekend, were entering our bike in a car and bike show Saturday. I will add some pictures once we start putting parts on the Blazer.

Re: First Time On The Board
We finally got some work done on the blazer today. We did a little painting of the hitch and the custom gas tank to clean things up a little bit.

Re: First Time On The Board
Spent some time this weekend working on the front end with my Dad. Ran in to plenty of problems but ended up with a good end result complete with factory rivets. Waiting on some upper bumper brackets to get the front finished up. Next up, start drilling all the holes everywhere that I need. Fingers crossed on those!

Re: First Time On The Board
We got our blazer back last night from the body shop. It was there getting the final touch ups done and getting a buff job. It looks great! Time to put all the trim and goodies back on it.

Re: First Time On The Board
Very nice and very fast to get the work done. Do you happen to know the paint code on the on the option sheet. My Jimmy is supposed to be med red and I have never seen that color on another truck before.

I don't know the code on the original option sheet. I kinda left this one up to my painter.

Re: First Time On The Board
Looking very nice. Your parts Blazer looks like one I had back in '81 - I sold it when I lived in Utah, traded it in for a Nissan pickup - kick myself to this day for doing it, but it really wasn't practical for me at the time. Keep the pictures coming, we love to see the progress.

Re: First Time On The Board
I may add some rear side panels later and I am going to add a radio I found that has the knobs that match the other dash knobs.

Re: First Time On The Board
Thank you. It was the original console. I just bought a new stainless plate where the ashtray sits and I bought a new ashtray as well. I think I just got lucky with it.
