Re: 57 Build: Beverly

Just looked at your pics.

My wife and I were standing by your truck!
There was a guy/friend of yours that just bought a greenish 68 c10 right?
I believe your truck has a jet engine correct? Haha
When I looked in the dictionary for awesomeness, there was a picture of your motor!

, too funny. It does have a wine like the engine in the Bell 206 I used to fly. Here's a couple of pictures that my daughter took last night.

Well, blow me down. Never thought I'd live to see the day where a Marine actually managed to not break something, let alone fix it. lol

Sharp looking truck. Even though my Blazer needs less done to it to be road worthy, looking through these build threads really has me wanting to get my '56 running first.

Re: 57 Build: Beverly

Great build, thanks for taking the time for pictures.

I like the undercoating on the backside of the bumper, they don't need to make a statement, but it sucks seeing them rust at the same time. The flat black does a nice job.

I like the guage cluster also. I just ordered a guage cluster from Brothers, I didn't like the original 60 pound oil pressure guage when my engine runs around 70 pounds.

The last pic of your truck looking clean is very inspirational.

Looking good.

Re: 57 Build: Beverly

Very nice job devil dog.

I used that rubberized coating on my 68 camaro's floorboards and my 90 SS454's entire underside couple years back. That stuff rocks in my opinion. It's like 3 bucks a can right?

I have a question about your dash and taillights. Does your led taillights have like 3 bulbs in same location on both taillights light up on their own? It happens to me about 10 minutes after I turn the truck off. They just glow on their own for like 3 hours. It doesn't kill the battery or anything, just..... weird. As for the dash, could you post a pic of it with its illumination on? I'm trying to decide between the face like yours and the black face.

I was stationed at Pensacola as well for A school for 8 months. Very beautiful place. Must be nice to live there. OOrah

Andy,
No, my taillights have never stayed on that i've noticed. Won't be able to get you any night pics of the truck for a while. It's torn down right now for a new motor, power steering and disks up front.
I'm happy with the background I chose though, the 'black' is actually a carbon fiber i believe and I didn't want it to be the only CF in the cab and I didn't want to start adding CF either...
SEMPER FI!
