I love your truck. You should be very proud of it. I totally understand wanting to keep the tool box. We are really limited on safe storage if we use our trucks at all.
Personally I dont care for the wood boxes or old trunks and stuff like that for truck storage (but thats just me). I would change it up a little by either painting it the same color as your truck, or maybe getting it powder coated white. It would blend a little better with the over all style.
