Re: Parting 70 CST20

Ray, does this truck have a factory installed sheet metal baffle below the floor pan ahead of the tank selector valve that serves a rock protector for the valve? The 72 factory aux tank trucks had this not sure about 70. If so I’ll gladly take it.

This truck did not have any shields by the selector. If it did, I would have put it in the box for you.

Re: Parting 70 CST20

Eric, I got the door removed today. This is a solid door with no major rust issues just some surface rust. The latch is gone and the hinges probably need work. There is no key. $50 plus $13 for shipping to MN. The box is in good shape. $50 plus shipping. The bedside metal is wasted on the underside.
Thanks,
Ray

Re: Parting 70 CST20

Just an FYI....that AUX fuel tank is a pretty rare option for a 1970. My C20 has it also. I think they used a blazer tank but it was a factory option...pretty cool. Your parts truck is the only other one I've ever seen besides mine....

That's the first one I've seen out of a hundred trucks. My buddy grabbed the factory sending unit wire to run on his K20 with his Blazer tank.

This cab was rusty and went to the scrap yard. I have several other cabs to choose from for patch panels. A good roof is $100 cut at the pillars. pm sent.

Re: Parting 70 CST20

The center belt sold locally. The chrome looks pretty good and the covers are not torn up. The mirror is very cloudy. $26 shipped total for the belts and the mirror.
Thanks,
Ray

Re: Parting 70 CST20

Ray:

How did GM deal with the bed cross sill that overlies the aux tank? Some advocate notching or removing this sill for a rear tank install. I'll be doing this install for my K20 and am curious to know how GM dealt with this cross sill.

Thanks for the help.

Pete
