Re: Slowly I build a truck
The bed and doors are painted. I really struggled with whether to go with an original color or with one I like. I'm pleased. I think I made the right choice. This is Atlantic Blue Pearl. I originally did not want to do a bed-liner, but I'm afraid the bed floor has too many dings in it and I'm hoping a light bed-liner will help disguise it. I'm not sure whether to go black or try to match the color.

Re: Slowly I build a truck
The inside and firewall of the cab is painted and ready for some parts. Interior, wiring, and engine work is next before the outside gets painted.

Re: Slowly I build a truck
I started with firewall insulation, but got frustrated that the provided clips were too big for the holes. I didn't want to drill the holes bigger, so I went to Lowes and got some replacement clips.
I tried to clean up the old heater controls, but I rubbed too hard and wasn't happy with the results, so I went with a new one. I'm kind of sorry I didn't go NOS, but I do like the replacement better than my faded original. |

Re: Slowly I build a truck
Cleaned up the heater boxes. I did clean up the inside and put in new foam, but I forgot to get an 'after' picture on that.
