Axle housings are at the powder coater. Had my wagon wheels powder coated a while back, then planned to sell them and use my rally wheels, then changed my mind back. So just got my 33" BFG ATs mounted up…
 And just received the white gauge bezel in the mail…

Frame is powder coated and reassembled using new hardware. It's is a bit dusty, which is why it doesn't look so great in the pics. Now as soon as I get the axles finished I can build up the rolling chassis. Some pics…

A big thanks to Jeff (Rochlow) from Vermont for the replacement rear body mount bracket (1st pic below). And though I took tons of pics, I can't for the life of me figure out where the two remaining parts in the 2nd photo below came from. Anyone know where they go?
 …no seriously, I can't figure it out. Please help!

The one on the right is the spring safety stop. It goes under the driver side frame rail behind the leaf spring.

The other bracket is for the transfer case /the transfercase has a bracket that comes off it then theres some gromet/bushings in there . It goes on pass side mid way down frame You could say there the top mounts for the bushings for tranfercase. Hope that helps

All my time lately is going into restoring the axles, differentials, etc. Just got the brake backing plates and diff covers back from the powder coater (pics below). I'll post pics on the axle restoration process in a few days once they're finished.

Thanks Jeff. Do you still need that part on my firewall? I never did figure out exactly what part you were talking about, so I never did anything about it. I was planning on selling the whole firewall, windshield frame, etc as a whole. But depending on what part you need, I might be able to get it off of there. Let me know.

Had my original axles disassembled and spent the past few weeks restoring and/or replacing all the parts. Here are some pics of the housings before and after. I was going to take them to the powder coater, but long story short that didn't work out so I got some Extreme Chassis Black and ECB Primer and painted them myself. They turned out pretty great. Just hope the finish holds up. To clean the housings I used a putty knife to scrape much of the old oil and sand (she was a beach buggy!) off, then used a grinder with a wire wheel to clean them up. I then used a toothbrush with degreaser to clean the oil out of the corners I couldn't get them wire wheel into. Then cleaned the entire housings with Eastwood's Pre (paint prep solvent). Then onto the primer and paint. It went pretty smoothly, but was a lot of work.
After I cleaned up the front axle…   After one coat of primer on the front axle…   After two coats of primer and two coats of Extreme Chassis Black…     I did have the diff covers powder coated. They turned out great…

Spent the past few days building the body cart to hold the tub and transport it to the paint shop. Never thought there'd be some much carpentry involved in restoring a truck!
 It worked out pretty well, but I got a little sloppy in the end. Patience was wearing thin. Planning to get the tub off the 'new' truck and onto the cart this weekend. Here are some pics…

Looks good Dusty, I was thinking if your tub had door latches so you can shut the door to help support the tub. I won't be around on Sat, I have to go to Assateague MD with the boyscouts till Sat afternoon but I'll be around on Sun.

Making some progress… pulled the motor and lifted the tub from Kurt's frame today with the help of some good friends. It took 4 of us with the help of an engine hoist to get the tub off, roll the frame out, and roll the body cart underneath and sit the tub on the cart. It was pretty painless for the most part. Next up…rebuilding the axles and assembling the rolling chassie, while the tub heads to the body shop for repairs and paint. Some pics from today…

Tub going off to the paint shop tomorrow 8am. Axles being rebuilt this week and next. As soon as I get them back I'll be able to build the rolling chassis. Then onto the engine, exhaust, etc. Will post some pics soon.

Any of you guys know where to find the paint code for our Blazers? I was told to look on the inside of the glove box door, but there are a few codes that could be it. Not sure which it is. I thought my original color was Hugger Orange, but in one of items it says 'Light Red'. Wondering if that's it. Can anyone help?

In the glovebox would be the code. Light red commonly faded to look orange.
