Look again. This was in the linked thread.

cool it would be neat if the build sheet was still there and the glove box label that would state the option

Build sheet under/behind the seat, yes. Glove box SPID's didn't start till 67 though.

Re: what were the rare options?

I'm new on the board and just bought a new project for my son and I to start on. Bought it from a friend's brother who has had it since it was about a year old. It is a C20Camper Special with dual rear wheels. Not sure how original they are, but he says they have been on since he bought the truck in early 1968. It has a 327 w/4 speed manual, PTO with a hydraulic pump and hydraulic flatbed.
Options are as follows:
V74AA Hazzard warning switch
K24ED CLOSED ENG POS VENT (assume this is PCV for California emissions)
Z53BE AMMETER
J70CB HYDRAULIC BRAKE (I would guess this is power brakes, which it has)
G50CA HEAVY DUTY REAR SPRING (It has leafs, not coil, rear springs with overloads)
L30HA 327 CU. IN. V-8 ENG
9838YW SEAT UNIT (Not sure what this is?)
N40FM HYD STEERING EQUIP
F51LB FRT & RR SHOCK ABS
B98BA SIDE TRIM MOLD EQUIP (It is a custom cab with side molding, aluminum grill and Chevrolet plate on the glove box door)
F60AA HD FRONT SPRING
M20CK 4-SPD TRANS
C60CA 4 SEASON AIR COND*
9800Q SPECIAL CAMPER
It has just under 75,000 miles and is decent shape for it's age and being stored outside its entire life. I will post some pics of the truck and the glove box sticker when I get a chance, but any idea how unusual a truck with these options would be?
Sorry for the long post, but this is my first Chevy truck. I've had several (and still have my first, a 1968 Z28) Camaro's, but this will be a whole new ballgame!

Re: what were the rare options?

spid's glovebox decals were first added in 1966.bucket seats were not available in chevrolet's until 1967.the truck above has had the seats replaced so they are not original to the truck.also they are blue and that was not available on the pre 67 trucks.

Re: what were the rare options?

Does anyone reproduce the vacuum gauge for the 64-44 clusters, or do I have to try to find one on ebay or Craigslist? It looks like a Pontiac or Oldsmobile gauge is the correct size, but the font doesn't exactly match the Chevy script.

Learned something new on the 1966 SPID. Thanks. As for the 66 chev buckets; is this an assumption or just assumed? We've established that they were an option for GMC in 66. How can we definitively rule out the possibility that they made it into a few 66 chevy's?

Re: what were the rare options?

talking about the bucket seats in the 66 chevy's well i guess anything could be possible, but there is no factory literature or option lists that i have came across showing or mentioning bucket seats anywhere unlike gmc where there was a very few handful of trucks that came with them.in the mid 60's chevrolet was just starting to move into what we now call the sport truck trend so it is highly unlikely that any made it into chevy's until late 1966 when the new 1967 trucks arrived.i know one thing that did not show up until late in the 1966 model year was the shoulder harness seat belts which are very very rare for these trucks even though all 66's came standard with seat belts(lap belts).the only factory bucket seats that i have seen in 60-66's are the panel truck seats and believe it or not the passenger seat was optional.

Re: what were the rare options?

Bostrom single seats were option-able in the 1/2 tons up according to the 63 Chevrolet Data Book.

Very informative!! I learned a lot about the options for the 60-66 in this thread that I didn't know. Thanks to all that contributed.
