Re: Budget Buster 68 C10 swb fleetside

Thanks Man! I hope to have the motor and trans installed within the next two weeks. I started to install the air box for the new Vintage Air but didn't get it all done. That is what I will do first this weekend and then tackle the computers and wiring!

You might want to paint the top of the dash satin black to knock down the glare coming off that nice new silver paint.

Angry Re: Budget Buster 68 C10 swb fleetside

Yeah you might be right! I am going to wait and see how it goes.

This weekend I got the new fuse panel mounted and the wires run to the back of the truck for the tail lights etc and the front light harness run to the front of the truck. I will put the wires in some sort of covering to protect them but wanted to get them run for now. I also got the A/C box installed! I also scratch the paint on the fire wall and chipped the paint where one of the screws goes throughName: IMG00236-20110911-1756.jpg

Thanks! I am going with the bench seat but had it all redone with memory foam and Ultra leather instead of factory stuff. Wanted to keep the bench for a little ol' school!

Re: Budget Buster 68 C10 swb fleetside

beautiful truck! I just noticed the one piece windows, did those install easily? I've been fluctuating on my paint color (when i get around to doing it RIGHT) between HoK Tangelo Pearl and HoK Orion Silver. You just made my decision much more difficult. Your truck looks killer!

Re: Budget Buster 68 C10 swb fleetside

Thanks Man! Windows were a little tricky but well worth the hassle. They are from One Piece Products. I originally got the windows from Brothers but sent them back when I realized that you had to weld in the corners etc. The color of my truck is Galaxy Silver and is a G.M. color so that in the event of any damage, paint should be easily matched.

What front drive system is that? Was the AC compressor supplied by vintage air? ordid it come with the drive assembly?

Looks great. The accessory drive looks much better than the stock stuff.

Nice job.

It won't be long until you hear it come to life for the first time.

Re: Budget Buster 68 C10 swb fleetside

Thanks guys. Front drive is Concept One and is clear anodized. I wish I had gotten the polished and then had the parts anodized but as they say, Live and Learn!

Big Al,
I know your brother in laws camaro, it is a beauty! I think I remember seeing your buddy's there too. Yes the 70 Chevelle with the flames down the side is mine. It was built at Jeremy's old shop and has been done for almost three years now. Time really flies! Miranda Built does some Amazing work. Jeremy's attention to detail is out of this world. I got to help him on my Chevelle but didn't get to do as much as I would have liked too! My Truck is a little different with my budget, I am trying to do as much of the easy stuff as possible and then let the Pro's at Miranda Built do the all of the Trick items and custom stuff. Jeremy has already terminated all of the wiring to the lights and switches etc. and the team there installed the computers and engine harness. I hope that we get the radiator mounted and hoses fabbed up, and get the exhaust system built this week. When I mounted the engine, I used the adapter plates that came with the CPP kit but Jeremy switched them out with the Hooker Header adapter plates which allowed the motor to be shifted back a couple of inches which I needed more room for the fans.

I would like to get together with you when I get my truck completed.

Re: Budget Buster 68 C10 swb fleetside

Most definetly we need to get together, Pat, Raul and my self we are always together. Of course my bucket is no where near as nice as any of all of your guys vehicles. I seen your chevelle many times I seen it at the festival flea market show a couple of years ago and at the shop. Jeremy does some amazing work. I have also seen Kareems C10 that looks like my truck. Keep the picts coming cant wait to see it in person..
