Spoke with a new fiberglass company today ...Excited about their potential to speed up this process a bit , with better quality and better service !! They also spoke of the possibility of offering 3 different versions, Hand laid for a top notch job , and then done with a chopper gun for a more economical version and last but not least the CARBON FIBER version , anyway excited about the potential !!

Not a big difference, maybe a little consistency in the thickness of the parts.
Chopper gun parts have a little more resin content, but are seamless in construction. The hand laid part will be pre-patterned and the material will be pre-cut to keep the layers very consistent. They tend to be a little lighter (not much, 1-2 lbs). The outside of the parts will look identical because they come from the same mold. It's really more of a time saving thing for the fabricator. Less time to make the part = cheaper labor = more cost effective.

The carbon fiber parts will be strictly for looks. They would normally be 30-40% more than the hand laid parts because the visual layer is so hard to make look good, and the material is a little more. These are not going to be aircraft quality auto clave parts, but will look like it when there done.

Re: SLOSH TUBZ..bolt in inner fenders for 67-72 chevys

I've got about 300 miles on the road so far with mine and they are perfect. Took it to a car show last night and got a TON of compliments on them. I was sure to throw your name and business name out there and where to get in contact with you. More to follow with the BIG trip...

Re: SLOSH TUBZ..bolt in inner fenders for 67-72 chevys

Is it absolutely not possible to have a set redesigned/modified to accommodate the folks running with stock hood hinges?
I think without that you'll be limiting your market. IMHO.
