Re: New truck 1968 C20 CST with a Pullman Camper

We used the hand throttle on grandpas truck to creep along and toss hay, we'd set a straight path across the field and jump in the back and toss hay to the cows, then jump back in the cab and drive back to the barn, it was early "hay control" not cruise control for us....

The "real" reason for the hand throttle is as Tim says, to increase the RPM's for the generator. Farm trucks would have them for the PTO or another engine/PTO driven accessory. Some people may have used them as a cruise control of sorts, but that was not what it was designed for.[/QUOTE]

Now I'm going to have to start searching for one of these. This it twice this week Ive run across something on this board I had never seen before ... Very cool stuff!
Your search is over if you'd like to get a Pullman from the left coast! Getting ready to list our Pullman, if you want it, shoot me a call. 530-885-9427 home. We haven't listed it on CL yet, was going to clean upand shoot pics this weekend. It's on a trailer and the slider topper is a bit of a mess, but it's a complete rig.
