I run Brad-Penn 10w-40 in the K10 and it seems to do OK.

The mutha of all scuff applications.

Brad Penn Oils are a great product...Both the break-in grade & the run products.
Most top machine shops stock it.

the vr1 in the silver bottle-how often should you change the oil??? mine seems to get black fast
