Re: eBay: $125K 67 C10
The car was in the shop and the door was not close as you can see a line under the the rear of the car. They were redoing something with the fuel...

That was easy to see but a great opportunity! The body line in the center of the door did a nice drop to let me know for sure. gorgeous car!

Not to mention that the engine is so crammed into the firewall it would take a contortionist to get the valve covers off

As i would say, just beacuse you put 100,000.00 thousand in your truck it dose not mean it worth 100,000.00.and if i was going to spend 100,000.00 i would have it built like i want it.

Re: eBay: $125K 67 C10
wow another bunch of bashers at their best. grow up. no wonder why i dont show up on this board as much as I used to is because of rude people as such. just because someone has something you dont like dont mean you have to throw out rude comments on here about what ever ride they may have or have built. or what ever they have for sale. if you dont like it then simply build your own ride the way you want. no need to bash others rides regardless of who it is, price or what they built it with... shakes my head.
and yes a very nice truck in my opinion and with that hard work.

Re: eBay: $125K 67 C10
Iv had mine for sale right along with his on ebay. It just ended it's third auction. Its tough out there! Iv had a few guys really interested in mine but have backed out, mainly because the high taxes and the cost of shipping it across the country. (I cant believe the taxes some of you guys pay) I think that's a fabulous truck. Mine is not near as nice as that one. but mines not nears as much either.

Re: eBay: $125K 67 C10
Mike........lotta truck for $25k! I think yours is a good example of what guys mean when they say they'd rather have 4 or 5 super nice ones like yours. Isn't it funny when you disclose the reserve and then people see just how close to being under it they can get? Nice truck.

Re: eBay: $125K 67 C10
The only nit-picky thing I have to say about that truck is this....for asking $125k you would think he would have at least made sure the panels matched. Can definitely tell he painted each panel separately, which, I know is very common for that level of build, but a red that bright is almost impossible to match when panel painting.

We are a big family here on the board and if you wiki "forum" it basically brings back "discussion". This is not much different than sitting around the kitchen table talking about work. Bottom line is the guy is asking a freaking $125K for this truck. No harm in pointing out dislikes or flaws unless he is a member of the board. I actually find it interesting the things that people catch that I don't. |

Re: eBay: $125K 67 C10
I don't know about the rest of the people on this board but the reason I am building my truck is so I can smash the gas peddle to the floor, unleashing enough horsepower to propel my truck and myself (and anyone else who dare to ride) to speeds that scare the crap out of me, then do it again! In other words, I am building my truck to drive. With only 6 miles on it, no one has enjoyed the truck in question and for 125k, not many people would...in my opinion.

Re: eBay: $125K 67 C10
When you ask 125K for your truck, you kind put yourself out there.
For me, and most people that is a lot of money. More than my house cost. If you going to ask that and the item is not perfect, you should expect some people to be critical. Quote:
