Re: Factory Bedside Toolbox
Steve, the toolbox on my 72 C2500 is rusted just about exactly like yours, except someone brazed a rod across the bottom of the opening and brazed the hinges to it. It was done BEFORE I bought it.

Re: Factory Bedside Toolbox
I have a 72 K20 with the bedside toolbox. The door and box is in great shape and the door has the outer latch on it. On the inside of the door is missing the plunger assembly or lock unit. The lock below is missing the latch part to keep the plunger from opening. I have recently purchased a plunger and the bracket it slides in from Dennis out in Florida. I'm still missing a spring and don't have the arm coming off the outer latch moves the plunger up and down. Any help/ pictures on how this goes together would be very helpful. Thank you

Re: Factory Bedside Toolbox
Sandowcycles, i cant answer your question but Im also interested into the answer. I am planning to install a box and door on the passenger side of a 72 Cheyenne LWB fleetside. Pictures with measurements of the toolbox location would be helpful if anyone has and would post them. Thanks!

Re: Factory Bedside Toolbox
cjmorr13, I will take pictures of my truck here in the next couple days. Its been close to impossible locating parts for these bedside toolboxes. Are you planning on installing one in your truck or does your truck have one from the factory?

Re: Factory Bedside Toolbox
Hi, i am planning on installing one on my 72 K20 that doesnt currently have one. I have the box now but need everything else and yes the stuff is near impossible to find. I feel ive become slightly obsessed with locating the parts no though and my competitive nature refuses to let me give up. I appreciate you taking the time to snap some photos for me, that and some measurements will be very helpfu. i might end up trying to fab a door...
