EXCELLENT point 54foster, I have to say I agree - and that probably explains my wide range of positive to negative reaciton to the flat blacks I've seen out there.

Re: Opinions Needed On Color Choice

it really does need to be flat paint and that gets chalky in time. Maybe a semi gloss that leans to the flat side.

Since you're "obsessed" with that beautiful Suburban I'll tell you the owner told me it is painted 1936 Ford Cordoba brown (though I THINK Cordoba "Tan" is actually the correct name). The steelies are from the WheelSmith I think here in SoCal. He didn't know the name of their color but it was one of their standard powdercoat colors and they were a sort of butterscotch to me. The photos do not do it justice. It was simply fantastic.
Dan you are right it was a '36 Ford Cordova Tan... and really close on the color of the rims..
When we were putting it together and the owner brought the tires and rims up to me i didn't tell him but i didn't like them together at all..I waited for him to leave before we put one on, but once we did with the beauty rings and caps they looked right together.. Because it was a suprise reveal at the GNRS i didn't want them to see it put together until the show...

Glad everyone likes it... Thanks
