I'll have to get the actual code, but it's Sikkens I believe. The color is Mercedes Silver ( I think it's iridium - or something like that).

I have hedmon headers and dual flowmasters out the back. I didn't pay 500 for it here and it was a little bit of work for my exhaust guy. He had to uninstall my power steering and trim the motor mounts and then put it all back together - but it sounds really sweet for a six cylinder

so does the paint color shift or seam pearlesce? didn't know if there was an advantage using the benz color vs the ford/mercury metallic silver

I'm not sure really, I narrowed it down to 3 silvers (benz, chrysler, and a chevy camaro silver) and the guys painted some test panels for me. The benz just looked better to me than the other 2. I really like the color - pictures don't do it justice.

Re: A Few Pics of my Grandpas 68 C 10

Found these little pics today and scanned them. I wish my family could come across a few more of the truck. It was originally gray and then Grandpa had it painted candy apple red.
The first picture is Easter from at least 30 years ago and the 2nd is my Grandparents - probably from the 90's or so.

Those hubcaps are awesome - wish we still had them

Re: A Few Pics of my Grandpas 68 C 10

The truck looks amazing! I would suspect your Grandpa would approve of the transformation.

Thanks for the pictures and background. It is allways neat to hear some history about these old trucks. Just as someone once loved these trucks before us, we love these trucks now.

I love it, the bed looks almost identical to what I've got planned for my '68. Very nice color too.

Re: A Few Pics of my Grandpas 68 C 10

I have a 6 x 12 trailer that I can take the sides off of. I just threw it on there before I had it done. After it was finished and I had the bed wood in, I propped the bed up with the cross sills sitting on some wooden supports so that it was up off the trailer to protect the paint. Its the same trailer that I brought up there to pick it up from you.
