I must admit, I own a 68 F100 2wd 360/3 speed, Grandpa gave it to me. We have 2 F*** woods trucks here too, a 70-ish 4x4 lwb custom cab with no motor or trans, but it was free....it'll be fun to beat the **** out of.....and we have a 79 F100 swb flatbed out back with a 351/4 speed, and ground hawgs on the back....and the most rot I've ever seen on any vehicle.
Out of the 14?? vehicles I've had, only one other was a FoMoCo brand...had a Lincoln Town Car....I have to say...I actually kinda liked it....had 189,000 miles and still ran like a top. Got rid of it (and my Z28 ) to get my 68 Step, so I can't complain too much sorry for the rambling.... TJ

Even though I enjoy the ford and I love the body stylings on the 67-72s and the 70 -79s, I have to admit that it has cost me quite a bit of work and money to keep running. One things for certain- fords are oil leakers! I know when I get the chevy done, the ford will be no match.

i have two fords right now. my 94 f-150 and my wife's 00 indstar. my f150 currently won't start (POS!!!!!!). it has stranded me 3 times in a month and a half. my old 88 dakota did that 3 times in 4 years. that's what i get for buying a f#rd. one nice thing is i can read the codes at home so i know where to start looking. course on my dakota i didn't have to look. POS!!!!!! (insert yosemite sam grumblings here)

I had an '85 F@#& F-150 that my Mom gave me after my Dad died in 1994. The timing was right, my '74 Powerwagon was dying and I couldn't afford to fix it. That darn F@#& was problems from the first day my Dad brought it home from the dealership. It would flat-out die in traffic for no reason. He got that fixed, whatever the problem was, but then it started happening to me years later and I could never figure it out. The paint job was bad, too, it kept chalking and would take a lot of buffing and wax to bring back the luster. Since I had it, I went through 2 water pumps and a radiator, intake and exhaust manifold leaks, a cracked carburetor bowl, and a transmission that would shift when it wanted to. Finally sold it last year and bought the K20 (I really wanted another 4x4, I missed my ol' Powerwagon, really wanted a Chevy). I was never happier to get rid of that pig. I saw it driving around town last week, I'm surprised it's still running.

1977 Pinto, Trunk and rear were painted red and faded into yellow flames in the front. Reverse Flames. (I really need to find someone with a scanner so I can post a picture!) The rust around the bottom of the doors looked like embers.

I'm really sorry guys, please don't hate me for this but I bought another F**D. It's a 1985 T444E 72 Passenger School Bus. I looked everywhere for GM and International buses but all that was for sale were F**D's. Never the less as soon as that engine dies, i'm throughing a bowtie under the hood. So can you blame me? IT'S A PARTY BUS!!!!!!!!
