I'm pretty certain they are 16" x 7" but don't quote me. They came off an 03.

WOW! that's a lot of extra meat on a 7" rim. Any issues in ride/handling? I'm sure my Blazer could take that size, but for all I've read anything over 265/75 or 275/70 on 7" rims is risky.

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?

I have had no issues whatsoever with ride or handling and I have driven 130K miles on 315/75R16s with a 7 inch rim. I even converted my buddy to 315s and he runs them on his 2001 1500 HD with the 16" x 6.5" rim and he has had no problems. I'm not sure if they will fit on a stock blazer or not? They might but my truck has a 2-3" suspension lift.

Here is my Blazer running 265/75r16 on stock rims... Looking at it against yours, I'm thinking it might have been lifted. It's significantly taller than a similar vintage 4x4 Tahoe and Suburban I've compared it's height to in the last week.

At this point I've decided to go with 285/75r16 Falken Wildpeak A/T... but might look into the 305/70r16

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?

Yours does look taller than a stock blazer. You can see the tire leaning in at the top alittle like the torsion bars have been turned up. My lift is basically like just turning the bars up. It's a kit that Rough Country offered advertised as a 2-3 inch lift. I got it back in '05 so i'm not sure if they still make it. It's an Add a leaf rear, new torsion bars, new upper control arms and differential drop brackets. That's a good looking blazer by the way! I have always thought it would be cool to have one of those trucks with 315s on it because it would look tall with that shortwheel base. Post some pics when you get the new tires.

265/75/16s on some American racing wheels. Changed the backspacing so when I add fender flares it will look stock.

Re: '88-'98: What Size Tire and Wheel are You Running?

My Burb came stock with P245/75R16's and the ugliest alloys ( IMHO) GM ever made. The rims on it now are 17's from a 2005 Avalanche with P265/70R17's. I've had lots of compliments about the Avalanche rims on my Burb. A great upgrade for not much money.

I agree, but what's so weird is how different they look with the smooth centers. Changes the whole look of the wheel. But I really like the Avalanche wheels on there. The OBS 4wd guys have it so easy with all these newfangled factory wheels

255/85-16 Cooper Discoverer STs on Ford 7" wheels. 33" tall w/o the excessive width and no need to lift, just cranked up torsion bars. It goes through mud and snow better than lifted trucks with bigger tires. Rolls down the hiway better, too
