if u think timming is the issue unhook the positiv lead -ingitiinon on the distributor with no fire it should not have problem cranking normal or faster than just a little

also u might wanna disconnect the tachmeter wire on the distributor if it as one ive seen faulty tach making this kind of problem

I got it! Thanks you all very much!! I moved the ground from the frame to the block. It fired right up! I still dont quit understand but it works and driving it!!

Like I said, the ground was working through something not meant to be the ground and it finally gave up or got moved. I have seen shifter cables, linkages, smaller wires, etc. work for a while.
Be sure to ground the body to the engine or the bat negative or you will have another problem eventually, esp. headlights and/or AC, etc.
