Re: Let See Some Factory Cheyenne Super's

Picking this up in Kentucky this October.needs rockers and pass fender cup.Hood ornament is getting tossed and hole filled.I will be driving it home and maybe I could meet some of y'all on the way home.

I will drive it like this for a while except it is getting the slots in my avatar photo.Plans are to find a decent short fleet bed and put it on the swb frame I have.Paint and enjoy. This is a keeper

Picked this Super up today. Pretty clean but it needs a lot of little things.

Re: Let See Some Factory Cheyenne Super's

I got one question, did the C-10's only come with the RPM gauge or did the Sierra as well?

THe truck looks real nice. I did notice that the "Super" fender emblem isn't where GM would have placed it (see the other examples posted) and may have been an add-on. This one is more centered. Is it a genuine Super?

Good question. It has the badges on the front fenders and glovebox door, the wood grain trim, houndstooth cloth bench, power steering, power brakes, A/C, not sure of originality but everything appears to be stock, as in old.

Here is my 1972 cheyenne super. She has a 402, turbo 400 trans, and factory air. I have owned her for 13 years.

I've owned this one since 1988, and driven it all over the Midwest and southeast. It travels to Des Moines, IA and Biloxi, MS pretty much every year.

Sounds like the perfect project truck for you! A re-body restoration with some (all) CA/AZ sheetmetal and you can have a GM poster truck.

Well it is a factory Super but not so "factory" anymore. I have the engine out doing a little maintenance but should be back on the road in a week or so.

So is telling you... "It (per the SPID) also had a coil sprung Dana 60 rear with optional uprated 3000lb ea primary coils and the 500lb ea auxiliary leafs."... considered twisting the knife?

While not the best setup for a big, high GC camper (no interleaf friction) but it sure rides nice for a 7600 GVW truck!
