Found some more trucks this weekend...sharing the pics

Chris came by in his 62 this weekend to grab the windshiled from the 61 parts truck for his project.

Heres a 61 that Im considering picking up. Has a dent on the driver side of the hood, right over the pod.

Found this 64-66 while driving through Sanford NC a week or two back. Looks solid from the road, but was behind an 8ft fence.

This has been under a tarp for years. Only the back corner of the bed was visible. Recent high winds revealed this 62 LWB. Didn't have my camera so I peeked over the fence with my phone.

That's a very decent looking truck. It's a shame its just sitting there getting rusty. Looks like it even has a spotlight and a gun rack.

I do that all the time. If I see an old truck, Im snapping pics.

friday night smithfields chicken and bbq on raeford road! damn i miss home. also check out smithfields tues night around 1700 in laurinburg NC...usually a pretty big turn out and some great people.

Willp nailed it. Friday night cruise-in at Smithfields. I showed up late as usual, parking lot was loaded up, so they just parked me in the middle of it. Haha...great times.

Your right Dan, I use my camera phone mostly due to ease, but sometimes a picture is all that remains. I have seen a few of these trucks go to the crushers and onece they are gone...thats it. So I always get pics.

There were only two Chevy trucks there last Fri. Myself and that cool blue 55-57 chevy truck. Was also an early 70's Ford. Got to get more of the local truck scene to show up. Theres at least 10 60-66 in Fayetteville on the road and another dozen or more that aren't. But they rarely pop up for the shows and cruise-ins.

The grey 63 is a local truck. I've been tryna get some pics...he pulled into my buds detail shop and he snapped a few pics for me. The teal 60 is another local truck.

Very nice Jon! I remember when Rod & Custom magazine had a section called " Vintage Tin ". Photos from around the country of abandoned pre 48 cars and trucks in fields, behind gas stations, and such. It was always one of my favorite sections, made you want to save them all!

Some nice shots there, especially the last one. It would make a nice postcard. Makes me want to grab some wrenches, but as we all know there are some that just aren't going to be saved.

I think the one with the grill guard is my favorite of the 4. Just a "classic" looking pic. Hot Rod mag had something similiar a few issues back.

Found an early 40's Chevy, I want it, but have to see what hes going to ask for it. Gota love the tree growing out of the bed.

Same guy who had the 1961 short bed fleetside that was t-boned had this 1963 1/2 ton panel. Wants $4500 for it. Has a SBC and 3 speed on the tree. Way overpriced like the rest of his stuff, but still fun to look at. I believe thats a Nash next to it.

I went by and spoke with him this weekend and he sold the Morris Minor. He had a 63 panel and I got a 61 off him. Had a couple of steelie rims he wanted.
