Miket and crazy4chev will try and make on Sat. For those of you that can make only on Sunday meet at the south end of the Grand stands by the out side stairs at 11:30 am.
The Sat meet is still on at 11:30 am at the same above location.

Well, boys...it's raining here. What is the weather supposed to be for this weekend? I ain't barbequeing if it is raining! I will still be there but just won't be barbequeing. Maybe I will bring the espresso maker if someone can bring a generator...LOL!

Swap Meet!

Hope someone will remember to take a bunch of pics. I won't be able to make it cause I'm(we) are going on vacation to celebrate our 25th anniversary, so I get to wait for next year. My son and a couple of his friends are going so I'll tell 'em where you guys are meeting, as long as LEROY isn't going to be there!(just kidding...it was my turn to 'dig' him...)

Well, I'm definately not going to be able to make it I really wanted to go this year. We need to work on a NW meet sometime this summer as discussed in a previous thread. Where does that stand?

Good Guys 16th Pacific Norhtwest Nationals in Puyallup July 18, 19, 20. There will be drags at Pacific Raceways Friday night and the car show all weekend at the fairgrounds. This is a big one. We could get together for the drags and the show on Saturday or Sunday. There will be another Monroe Swap Meet in the fall but we should do the Good Guys Show.

I loading the burgers and buns and will set up at 11:00 in the grass parking lot. Probably on the East side but will let everyone know when I get there. I think Orence1 and DanoDMano will caravan with me out there...so we call all park together.

I will not be able to go Stllookn. I have to work the afternoon, and the wife has to work the morning, so I got the kids.

I would love to meet everyone though, and will make sure not to miss the get together this summer!!

I hope everyone has a good time, and know that I will miss out on a part I just have to have (No doubt!!)

Dano

crazy4chevs, Your project looks great! Nice sheet metal and it looks like you are really doing it right! I had to get mine running before I tear it apart...need to drive it and become one with the beast and make peace with it before I start to rebuild from the ground up. Look forward to meeting you tomorrow.

Well it is midnight Fri and I just found this thread. No wonder I can never find any parts at these swap meets. This is a tough crowd of parts hunters! Hope to see you tomorrow.

Who's going tomorrow? I will be there. Should we get together by the grandstands? I would like to meet earlier than 11:30. How about 10:00 AM?

OUCH! Guys...first impromptu meeting was at about 10:30...second one was at 11:30. I started the barbeque at about 11:15 forgot my matches but got it going with a road flare. I forgot my spatula too but bought one from an antique dealer on the way to the truck...I beat her down from $6.50 to $5.00 in true swap meet fashion! imdarren (Darren), Cobalt (Cory), Orence1 (Larry), oldiron (Dennis), Greenmystchevy (Jeremy), LeRoy (Curtis), breeh (Brent), Mike, Aaron, Skip, Kris, Megan all showed up at the my van for the barbeque. I cooked up 18 burgers on the tailgate of Jeremy's truck, disposed of a couple of six packs, two bags of chips, a case of cup cakes and a case of pop.

We got a great chance to meet everyone, take some pictures, score a few parts and plan the next meeting. Oldiron won Best of Show with his newly finished '68 flatbed, Greenmystchevy won Best Work Truck since it served as the barbeque and food stand, Cobalt won Best Project Underconstruction and late entry Breeh would have won best 4x4 with his awesome '67 427 short stepside but he not show up until after the awards!

My personal thanks to Cobalt for organizing this, imdarren for putting up with me while I put everything together for the barbeque instead of helping him find a tilt and posi rearend, Breeh and LeRoy for the excellent '67 hood, Mike for figuring how to get it into my van...DOH..., Orence1 for talking me into buying a '68 fender with only surface rust and then paying for it, and all the rest of the guys for showing up...it was truly a great time.

There were a couple of BC guys that had a booth at the show and I saw Livrat's truck in the parking lot (going stealth as always) and I am sure there are others we missed as well...my apologies to them for missing a great "get-together."

imdarren will be posting pictures...he got them all!

Hey, I had fun guys. It was nice meeting some of the people I hadn't met yet, and I'm also greatful for Mike (stllookn) for bringing the food/beer.

Don't forget to thank Dennis (oldiron). He's the one who collected names and made sure everyone got together at the right times via cell phone.

His flat-bed looks sweet.
