Re: My Build, 1972 4wd DD is finally coming together!
Here the bad boy is running. It has some knocking at one point and i think a vacuum leak. The LSXRT and CAI sound great as they suck air.

Man that looks great; I am doing the same thing except that I am putting a 5.3 Vortex motor and the 4L60e tranny. Did you have any issues with the front driveshaft CV joint, mine comes within 1/4 inch from the transmission and I am wondering if that is to close?

With the advance adapter for the transfer case it added about 2". We had to remount the engine forward some, but it didn't effect anything else.

LS69, they are Gibson Header GP129. We had to shave the frame down to allow them to fit completely. The chrome on them wasn't that great either. I remember finding a better option after we had installed them somewhere on an LS thread.

Re: My Build, 1972 4wd DD is finally coming together!
I was able to start working on the interior of the truck. It turns out the wire harness we made was not the best. We soldered the wires, but apparently with such small milivoltage any crack will send bad signals or none at all to/from the computer, so i had to order one to be made up. I went and bought the stereo system as well. Im moving the PCM to the front engine compartment and putting the 3700 w amp under the console instead. Here are some pics of the rear carpet installed, as well as the rear quarter panels i made up with speaker mounts and carpeting. We removed the top last weekend the LQ4 screams with the weight off. With no effort at all it spun the tires through the first two gears. I cant wait to get it to the drag strip and just find out how quick it can go.
