My FiL had air horns like that on the truck we now have, but they didn't work, so I tossed 'em. They were 12V though, probably from Pep Boys.

Re: Vintage Accessories
This was in a 67 SS Impala I took it out myself. I was planning to install it in the Ramp truck but its not going to work out with the 4 speed. Just not enough room for it to fit and be able to operate it. 1 picture is it in the car before I started taking it out. Rest of them is after I cleaned it up and refurb it.

Re: Vintage Accessories
I always thought an altimeter would be cool in a truck.
How about a Sport Grip steering wheel cover? I've had this one since '89. This is the second truck and second steering wheel for it

MORE Vintage Accessories
Wow ! .
I am loving this thread . I'd forgotten I have an old 23 channel Pace CB radio deep in my garage.... Too bad the '67 Impala wasn't able to be restored . I like this old underdash AC units, they nice for vintage Hot Rods without chopping up the stock dashboard . Brand "F" had some really good underdash units in the late 1950's and early 1960's....

Got a few but haven't had time to dig them out yet for show. CB, plug in spot light, maps, key fobs, DX gas service tab holder n tags...
This thread super. Just the information gained is gold for sales 'junk' piles. |

I can't believe no one has commented on the brand name of those vintage Delco shocks!

Love the Sport Grip covers. Just sewed one on the Blazer wheel. Tough to find the 17” vintage ones.

Re: Vintage Accessories
A word of warning :
I have vintage maps and other little things I've had for 50 years, I like to lay them on the seat at the show & shine or wherever so others can enjoy them too ~ I learned the hard way that if you leave the windows cracked on a hot day, make sure there's insufficient space to get a hand / arm in as they'll watch you and reach in and STEAL the instant your back is turned . I now only leave 1" open and the vent wings locked .

Re: Vintage Accessories
Zooey (my 1970 Chevrolet C/10) was originally purchased by a Phillips 66 station, would this be an accessory? It's the 1970 Phillips 66 Philcheck Service Guide. This book told you everything you'd need to know about servicing everything common on the roads back then for F**d, IH, Oldsmobile, Vw bugs, AMCs, Mercurys, Imperials, Plymouths, Jeeps, and Chevy Trucks. It told you where to grease em up what kind of spark plugs they took, what engines they had in em and what their firing orders were too plus more.

Re: Vintage Accessories
Yeah, the altimeter would be just a novelty around here (Back East) but a handy device in the western mountain states where altitude fluctuation can be an actual factor in performance on a given day

Vintage Altimiter
These were very popular in the 1960's and 1970's ~ I used to find them on junked camper specials all the time, the lenses were always yellowed and cracked making them worthless to save, dammit .

Both very cool, but I like the screens the best.

Re: Vintage Accessories
I might bolt the screens on the k20. I’d like to see some screen equipped trucks.
